KIRKCALDY KESTRELS have announced the return of forward Iain Quinn for the forthcoming season.
The 23-year-old plays centre and is an extremely hard working two-way player who never quits plus will graft at both ends of the ice.
His defensive style of play under penalty and hard work off the puck is a quality that the team have relied on over the past few seasons.
When the team has been short handed, Quinny is a regular player on the ice during that time and he is someone the coaches are sure to rely on again in the coming season.
Quinn is now going in to his fifth season in a Kestrels jersey, after first joining the club in 2011.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to building on what we achieved last year. Hopefully we can win a few more trophies this year and build on last season’s successes.”
Iain returned to Scotland after spending a few seasons in Canada, where he played in both the Ontario Hockey Academy Mdgt AA in 2009/10 and Ontario Hockey Academy U18 in 2010/11.
Last season, Quinn played in 24 out of a possible 27 games last season for the Kestrels, registering 11 points across all competitions and the club are delighted to have him back.
