KIRKCALDY KESTRELS are delighted to announce the return of Michael Greig for the 2015/16 season.
The utility man has spent most of his career at the club, coming through the Fife junior system and despite a year at Dundee Comets, returned to the Kestrels last season.
Michael is naturally a forward but he can also play defence, a position he played last season for the Kestrels, making his flexibility a real asset to the team.
He can be described as very mobile player, who is very quick at moving around the Ice and is a ‘heads up’ player, which means he can read the game well.
Greig was unfortunate not to play as many games as he would have liked due to other commitments, having featured in only 11 games, registering two points and two assists.
On returning to the Kestrels, Michael said: “Last season was great fun for me, although I played in less games than I would have liked to.
“I’m looking forward to this season as it’s going to be an even harder challenge for us, as teams will be looking to stop us repeating what we achieved last season.
“I have been working hard in the off season, doing an intensive off ice programme and I also spent a week in Finland with GB uni team, so I will be ready to go.”
Kirkcaldy Kestrels are pleased to see Mikey return for the new season.
