DUNDEE COMETS have strengthened their ranks in the last couple of days with the signing of three players for the new season.

Robbie Hill, Lewis McIntosh and Lewis Gold have all re-committed for the upcoming SNL campaign and will be a big part of what they hope to achieve this season.

Hill, a 21-year-old D-man, has spent his entire hockey career within the Dundee Stars Junior Development and continues for another year.

McIntosh meanwhile began with Perth Piranhas as a junior, then Murrayfield before cementing his position as a key forward in the Comets’ line-up.

Both young players have grabbed the attention of Elite League coaches in recent seasons, and are no strangers to the Stars’ bench.

As for Gold, he will be helping the team sustain the momentum gained last season and head coach John Gordon insists after suffering injuries, he will be better this time.

Gordon said: “Lewis is a great player who has been held back by injuries in the past, but is now stronger and fitter than ever, and we expect to see his best season yet’.

Lewis will also be passing on his skills to Dundee Stars Juniors when he joins the coaching team this season.
