DUNDEE COMETS have made another signing with netminder Matthew Michie pledging his commitment to the new season.
Most recently on the books of Comets’ local rivals, Dundee Tigers, Michie has agreed to return to ‘the other side’ and become a Comet once more.
He was a big part of the Comets’ past successes, and is looking to repeat former glories and his return delighted coach Rab Brown.
Brown said: “We were left in the lurch last season with the departure of Mark McGill just at the transfer deadline.
“Although our Under 20 goalkeeper Ciaran Hoggan stepped up to the mark, we needed the complement of a senior player who could commit fully to SNL.
“Matthew fits the bill on a number of levels and he’s very popular with his team mates and fans. He’s looking forward to pulling on the blue, white and red of the Comets once more.”
