KIRKCALDY KESTRELS have announced another returnee in the form of Robin Floyd, who has signed up for the new season.

Robin played for the Kestrels since he turned 16 and can be described as a naturally gifted and talented young forward, who plays centre.

He is classed in the modern game as a ‘dangler’ and has a great set of hands that give him that status.

Robin can turn defensemen inside out on his way to the goals as he stick handles round them and is every team’s defensive nightmare as teams try to stop him by making big hits.

The youngster has other attributes that make him the complete package and can be every other team’s nightmare on his night.

Robin has put up some impressive numbers at the Kestrels in his time at the club, picking up 66 points (34 + 32) in 58 appearances in the last three seasons.

The young forward has been a great asset to the club during his time and the coaches are looking for big things from the hard working centre this season.

On his return to the club, Robin said: “I’m really happy to be back with the Kestrels, we have got a good bunch of guys who I have been playing with for quite a few years now.

“I’m looking forward to defending our title and also improving my own individual game to potentially help me go and play at a higher level in Kirkcaldy.”
