PAISLEY PIRATES coach Ian Turley is looking for improvement on the road for his team ahead of their trip to Kirkcaldy Kestrels on Sunday.
Pirates come in on the back of a 6-4 win over Aberdeen Lynx on Sunday and just a couple of weeks after beating the SNL champions by the same score at Braehead Arena.
And Turley fully expects a tough night before they return there on Scottish Cup business in a fortnight’s time.
He said: “While our home form has been great so far this season, with four wins out of four against very good opposition in every match, our away form has been less so in the league.
“While we started well enough with two wins at Kilmarnock and a victory at North Ayr, all in cup competitions, we’ve only got one point out of a possible four in away matches in the SNL and nobody needs to tell me that kind of record has to improve.
“Kirkcaldy are the current Scottish National League champions and we beat them 6-4 in a very tight game at Braehead a couple of weeks ago.
“Their rink is a notoriously hard one to come away from with a win and they’ll be keen to teach us a lesson after beating them recently, so it all looks like adding up to a tough night for us.”
