SNL Media Officer Appointed to raise profile of SNL

The SNL are delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Anderson as the league’s media officer.
Craig has a wealth of experience in the media having worked for various outlets, in either print or in radio as well as acting as the media co-ordinator for Braehead Clan for the last two seasons.
The league has identified the need to create further exposure and with ice hockey in Scotland becoming a more attractive sport to watch, we hope to put more information in place to enable this.
His knowledge of the media is something we are keen to tap into as we try to build on the collective fan base we have.
Speaking of his new post, Craig said: “I am delighted to be part of the SNL and look forward to working with the league and the clubs as the SNL media officer.
“I found obtaining information difficult when working from the outside and I aim to help give the clubs more exposure among the thriving ice hockey community in the local and national press, both online and in print.
“Working with Braehead Clan, I have seen first hand how much the sport is gaining popularity and the same can be said of the other Scottish EIHL clubs, who have all attracted new fans in recent years.
“I’m excited to get started and with the new season just around the corner, I want to help spread the word about this exciting league and help attract these new fans to clubs more local to them and I thank the SNL and the member clubs for giving me this opportunity.”
An SNL spokesman added: “We are delighted to welcome Craig on board and look forward to working with him as we look to boost the profile of the SNL.
“As a collective, we were looking for someone that has the contacts and know-how to allow us l, as a league, to reach out to potential new fans and when we examined our options and how to achieve that, Craig stood out as an obvious candidate.
“We are pleased he has accepted the role and can’t wait to work with him over the course of the new season.”
